red socks with loafers

I wear a lot of jeans and t-shirts, usually accompanied by basic but classic shoes (loafers, chelsea boots). It's definitely my favorite and most authentic look, but sometimes I feel a little lacking in flair/character. What are your favorite accessories that elevate the jeans/t-shirt combo to "classic and interesting" instead of "classic and boring"?
